Serving with faith. Giving with love. Rooted in 400 years of compassion.
For over four centuries, the Ladies of Charity has answered a simple but powerful call: "To serve rather than be served, in humility, simplicity, and charity."
Founded in 1617 by St. Vincent de Paul in France, the Ladies of Charity is the oldest organized, continuously functioning volunteer lay organization in the world — now active in over 49 countries with hundreds of thousands of volunteers united by one mission.
Here in Northern Utah, we are proud to carry that legacy forward.
The Ladies of Charity respond to the needs of the poor by distributing food to low income, homeless, or unemployed women, providing contact to social workers, assisting with medical expenses, providing vouchers for food, clothing, and rent, and pursuing many other courses of service.

The Respect for Life Ministry promotes the dignity of every life from the moment of conception until natural death. Through prayer, awareness, and concrete help for those in need we hope to build a culture of life and love.
As God is the author of every life, we, as disciples of Christ, need to be instruments of light to those in need.

As God is the author of every life, we, as disciples of Christ, need to be instruments of light to those in need. If you ever hear of a woman in an unexpected or difficult pregnancy and she needs help, would you know how to assist her? The USCCB hopes that every Catholic church and its parishioners can come to the aid of these women to give them valuable resources that they may not even know exist. For Saint Olaf, these resources can be found in the vestibule of the church - please click here to read Walking With Moms in Need Resources document or find it below.

This is a ministry of hospitality, fellowship, and community. After each Sunday Mass this ministry serves coffee, donuts, and is the catalyst that brings the parishioners together in an informal and hospitable place. Volunteers may set up tables and chairs or may provide the pastries and coffee.
Commitment: one hour per week.

For the prayer shawls, the group prays over the shawls as they are handmade, then the shawls are blessed quarterly by Father at Mass. There is a prayer card the group gives out when they distribute the prayer shawls. People on the receiving end of the shawls do not need to be Catholic nor officially part of the School/Church community.

More information coming soon.
